Parachute is a fashion and travel accessories upstart, in need of a presence that embodied its substance, earthiness, and sentimentality as a lifestyle brand. The project started with the idea of hand drawn maps that I had created that we screen printed onto fabric, and used as textile patterns for the products. I worked on this project with Khoa Tran and Pamela Wang.
We developed the name “Parachute” as a whimsical answer to the perspective of looking down at different areas of the world. Our applications, design, and textures
all aimed to offer the feeling of something completely personalized and unique. We currently have tote and messenger bags in two lovely cities available – Los Angeles and New York. There are more products on the way!
